Do we start resting players? Or at least managing their minutes? Who plays in the middle? Does everywhere else pick itself? For me:

Henderson

Richards - Lacroix - Guehi

Munoz - Hughes - Wharton - Mitchell

Sarr - Eze

Mateta

- Wharton off for Lerma at 60 mins.
- Eze off for Kamada/Esse on 70 mins.
- Mateta off for Nkethia at 75 mins.

Not quite sure…OG has already spoke about balancing the playing time. However, we don’t play until Monday - so everyone should be fresh for the game.

I guess the other consideration is when he starts rotating, so he can see players like Esse get more game time in!

I suddenly feel that only one match matters now.
I’m with you, I’ll go to the last couple of home games and possibly spurs away, but I’m quite happy if Ollie feels the need to shuffle the pack and maybe cost us results in those games. In ollie we trust 😀
I can understand players not wanting to put their foot in as well with the final in mind

Worryingly he will play our strongest team and that is what you have but Kamada for Hughes.

Sorry, but in no universe is Kamada over Hughes our strongest team. Hughes was arguably POTS until his recent exclusion.

I think it'll be a balance...still getting our strongest team minutes...but resting them earlier etc.

We've waited so long to see more of Franca it'd be nice if he got a chance along with Esse and maybe Devenny for Hughes depending on when he picks up his card.

Only a few weeks ago I would agree. Indeed, I would not have had the gall to suggest it. However, with Kamada apparently "finding" himself, I can see Hughes returning to his role of midfield solidifier.

I think Glasner has made it quite clear that he will put out a team with the intention of winning the next game.

He wants to maintain players' rhythm hence why he played a strong team against Arsenal and it worked for when we came to the semifinal.

He has also said that he and his coaching team watch players carefully regarding whether they will be 100% fit enough to play his style of pressing football in the next match.

To me all of that means he will play the strongest XI having taken due account of fitness levels etc., for each and every remaining game.

We have to remember that in Glasner's philosophy no player is bigger than the team and that if a player gets injured he believes there will be a replacement who can fit in to the system.

Persoonally, now that Kamada is beginning to show a bit of form, I don't see Glasner resting him or replacing him with Hughes. He'll want him to continue to show what he's about.

Just my opinion, of course.

As others have said, I expect we'll start with the usual suspects to keep performances high, but I very much hope we flex the squad a bit more in the 2nd half - be great to see the likes of Esse, Franca and Devenny get more minutes.

Gotta agree with you there Silvertop.
No doubt Hughes has had his best season with us (by a country mile) but he does get found out against the quicker and more athletic midfield opposition.
Kamada on the other hand has yet to reach his peak in a Palace shirt and it appears that Ollie's desire to ensure all players (especially those he feels key) maintain “match rhythm” will see Kamada play a role in the next 2 games I reckon.

Glasner clearly disagrees, picking Kamada for what was the clubs biggest game in 3 years.

Let’s do all we can to beat Forest, Momentum is important.

I’d love us to break out points record and potentially finish in the top 10.

We can always rotate where necessary.

Also many of our players in the past picked up injuries in training, so not playing them is no guarantee.

As for the midfield, I used to say it picked itself but Kamada has been excellent lately and deserves to be considered as a starter, great to finally have options along with Lerma

My overwhelming sentiment.

I'm hoping the players feel so too. Not in a manner that everybody starts trying to avoid injury and therefore not competing, but rather that the pressure is off, some nice football flows and the talent we have start winning games in style, being so relaxed about the whole situation!

Sounds ideal.
