Team balance

Apropos Kamada when he was at Eintracht Frankfurt the German club finished at the top end of the Bundesliga in most of the seasons he was at the club, accordingly he was 'Ploughing his furrow' in a well-oiled successful team. We are not at that level in the PL at this juncture, hence Kamada is taking time to find his feet.

I suspect Glasner has seen a much better version of Kamada than he has seen at our club.

This is obviously very true, but the big question is whether his style translates to a PL club such as Palace where we have to scrap for points a lot of the time.

He does put his foot in, and his tackles are well-timed when he's not chasing the player but intercepting, but where we are we have to win the ball and drive, like Hughsey does, to turn the game our way, that's not Kamada, to me he can play in a structure but he can't make the structure like Hughes, Wharton, Munoz, and Olise and Andersen last year. But if we play Kamada as a number ten or in Eze's position where he can use his positional sense and passing/shooting ability I think we will see a lot of improvement.

I agree with all that and that his best position looks like it should be a 10 (Eze) role, but you then have to ask, is he going to bring as much to the table as Eze and if the answer to that is no, then we are basically paying a lot of money for just cover.

Maybe he has been bought to replace Eze which wouldn’t please many, but even if that was the case, why would he only be on a two year contract. Strange acquisition all round from my viewpoint.
