Has anyone else noticed how Kamada gets selected as a sub to cover approximately a tenth of the pitch, without putting in a meaningful tackle, blocking an opponent or retrieving/using the ball in a way that raises any expectation that an attacking move is likely to happen. When he moves from his selected tenth of the pitch to anywhere near our own penalty area have you noticed your increased heartbeat in anticipation of conceding a freekick or worse?

Yes we all noticed this by about the middle of September

Keep up 😁

This may get me banned, but I don’t think Kamada is that bad.
Possibly at the wrong club at the wrong time, but not a bad footballer.
January is likely to be crunch time for him.
With Wharton potentially returning, potential incoming transfers and the fact that are other players are ahead of him, Kamada faces a challenge.
Can we afford to pay this high wages to a player without a role to play?
Oh hang on …we had Max Meyer.

But there is another point here, and that is that although we don't really rate him, Glasner is playing him. Pretty much the minute he was available again too. So he hasn't really got no role to play (except in most of our opinions) as Glasner, on the face of it, seems like he will use him as a squad player/rotation option - at the very least.
I guess then the question becomes about wages for bit part players. And his would probably need to be halved at least, to reflect that. The other side of it was no transfer fee - and that comes with higher player demands. As there is no automatic percentage of the fee for them.
I wondered if it were simple coincidence that Arsenal seemed to massively improve when he was on. Which may have been explained by them paying a lot of attention to Eze and little to Kamada perhaps?

I’m really trying to trust in OG when it comes to Kamada.

He will be fine, he’s not rubbish.

I was told to be positive and visualise and manifest good things…

He isn't a bad player, Glasner obviously rates him. Its just taking him time to adapt to the pace and physicality of the Premier. Fans are always too quick to write players off, in recent times Henderson, Hughes and Mateta have been the butt of fans abuse.

A thread with little purpose other than to knock Kamada, as if another thread was needed for that.

Personally I think he was done no favours be being played out of position as a central midfielder. He obviously struggled in that role and the knee jerk reaction now is that he is just rubbish, end of.

I think he is better utilised in Eze’s position where he has a useful role to play as an occasional starter when rotation is needed or as a sub towards the end of games.

Of course he is massively overpaid in relation to others in the squad and the contribution he makes but, as others have said, that’s largely because there was no fee involved in his acquisition.

Wages in football are a mystery. While everybody hopes Kamada goes on to prove himself going forward at the moment he's getting paid more than Mateta and LaCroix between them which is just wrong. Yes, the lack of a transfer fee plays a part but Joel Ward's transfer fee was £400,000 against Holding's £4,000,000 and after 12 years he's on £10,000 a week less.

Kamada is the lucky one as he was on a free transfer(out of contract).
From our point of view at c.£4m/year he is cheap over 2 years.
Edouard has cost far more to date, AND we gave him another year next summer!!

It takes time to adapt. It's a new league he's not played in before and as others have said, he's often been played out of position. We have a gem in Glasner and if he's a Glasner signing I believe he'll come good.

Lacroix was pony for his first 5 games or so, now he looks immense and an upgrade on Andersen.

Bashing him online only adds fuel to the Kamada resentment fire. Doesn't benefit anyone.

I've not been impressed with him so far, but I'll reserve judgement until the end of the season.
