Yeah, I wouldn't look at this as just an academy signing. At 18, Majni already looks like a proper first-team prospect, and Palace apparently see him as part of the first-team rebuild. Talks with Union Touarga are already at an advanced stage. The physical side is especially impressive for his age, but what really stands out to me is how comfortable he looks technically for a centre-back. He's already broken into the Touarga first team and has 19 senior appearances, on top of his Morocco U20 experience.
Definitely looks like a talent worth taking a chance on for Palace.

These type of signings always feel really exciting. And I'm all for them.
The only requirement I have is we have more of a plan then with some of the other kids we've signed. There is no way on earth this guy is going to get mins in the prem next season.
The same way Brighton did with MacAlister on Mitoma, we need to sign with a loan plan in mind. Either loaning back to them initially, or a team in an easier European league. Zero point signing him for him to sit in the reserves, it will send his development backwards.
