Wharton is such an accomplished vital player and he will be missed, as will Sarr, and our chances of securing a win against Sunderland have been reduced by their absence.
I predicted a 1-1 draw but I am getting more pessimistic by the minute !

I will be totally shocked if we win 3-0 or 4-0.
They have bought experience in Granit Xhaka, Le Fee is talented, and strikers Isidor and Mayenda can be a handful.
Sunderland will be a stern test for us.

No we never. We lost 0-4 or even 1-4 as I recall and the stadium emptied at half time. I suffered the pain. One of our fans almost got in a fight with Delaney.

Indeed we lost 0-4 which was the score at half-time.
Sunderland scored 3 goals just before the break which included a brace from Jermain Defoe.
Absolutely terrible and I was in a frog-eyed frenzy.

Focus on what we do. One of the top 4 defences in the league, one of the best strikers and a well oiled machine. We play reasonably well or better and we win. Ollie seems to be good at keeping them grounded
Losing Sarr and Wharton is a big blow.
I am optimistic for this game but I think it will depend on how Yeremy plays and if we can get an early goal.
I assume Sunderland will employ a low block which will frustrate us and it will be hard to break them down. I think it will be a tricky game this and a win of any sort will be a real bonus.
I’ll go for 1-0, a late scrappy Munoz assisted goal for Kamada!!!!

7-6 win to Palace. 6 down at HT but on comes a particularly prolific streaker who nets 7, one of which is deemed offside as an indirect consequence of the previous goal celebration. The other 6 are considered valid goals thanks to a late transfer sheet submitted by the wily Steve Parish rendering the nuddy fan eligible to play. The game looks set to finish 6-a-piece but on the 147th minute (because of all the slow motion VAR checks) Dean Henderson's 40 yard free kick curls in to the bottom corner past a goalkeeper who appears to be busy taking Polaroids of something.

I think 2-0 Palace. Early goal for JP. Looking forward to seeing Pino start (and score) and maybe Esse and Uche getting some minutes once we’re comfortable.
That was earlier in the week but I've changed my mind.
I think that if we have our first - choice defence, we'll cope with their lumping the ball into the box all day long.
