Summer Transfer Window

Overview of our trading From the 'South London Press' :

"Lack of ambition. Palace are just seven points off Europe at the close of the window, but the squad is still deficient and just a handful of injuries away from chaos"

I don’t know about Munoz. He has fantastic energy but technically is lacking a bit. He gets in great positions but execution of pass, cross, finish is erratic. I think Champions League clubs would want that more polished technical ability.

Agree. Same applied to Sarr.

If they could cross they would be world beaters.

We were very spoilt with Olise, he was so efficient.

Click bait saying Guehi will sign for Chelsea in the summer.

An agent once pointed out that the January is when most clubs do their business for the summer e.g. they hold talks and make tentative agreements to be firmed up in the summer window.

In this window my guess is we have had quite a few conversations with Chelsea about TB and Chilwell I suspect these have also included talks about Guehi.

He of course could do. But I dont think he will.

I just cant see why any player how values their career would go there. No guarantee that they wont go out and sign another CB a week after.

Or have to sell him being home grown / domestic product, to balance their PSR because they spent too much on overseas imports & have run out of hotels / buildings to transfer off the books.

He came through the Chelsea Academy so he may well be like Gallagher and have his heart set on going back there. It should also be borne in mind that Chelsea have the right to match any fee offered by other clubs, so if LIverpool did offer - say - £50m for him Chelsea can match it and Guehi can (prfesumably) choose which he wants to go to.

I just don't understand that mindset. They were happy to sell him, presumably because they thought he wasn't good enough. Now they think he is actually good enough, why would he go back? i'd be telling them to 'do one'. It's not like he'll be sort of any other suitors.

Yes if Sarr was more consistent with his end product he’d be a £50m player. He has everything else, pace, power, strength. I was quite skeptical when we signed him but I have to say he’s done really well. Much more consistent than I expected and shown some good passing ability (see Mateta, second on Sunday or his first vs Leicester). Proven to be a very good signing for the money we paid

Only difference (I think) is that Connor was a Chlesea fan, from a family of Chelsea fans. I dont think I've ever heard of Mac supporting them, or anyone for that matter.

With Marc they also obviously didn't fight very hard to keep hold of him.

IMO, he's smart enough to have seen the hundreds of players that have been sacked off, (Joao Felix the latest after 6 months). Even watching AC Milan the other night they have RLC, Tomori, Tammy Abraham.

Then in Salah and de Bruyne 2 of the best player of this generation. As you can tell, I despise them!

Players that we need to move on:
Édouard
Schlupp
Holding
Ahamada
Clyne (We defo need to replace at the EOS)
Ebiowei
Plange

Jury still out as regards to Nketiah and Kamada
Need to have a conversation with franca
Need decent backups for GK,RWB,LWB and CBs
I would like to see ,Imray given a chance in the first team
Decision's need to be made as regards to rak-sakyi, Ozoh
My opinion is that we have another season in Clyne for our bench. Certainly not a starter but he does okay when coming on late in the game. Fills in right, left or as an emergency centre back. Still a good prem player for our bench? And we should keep Plange a bit longer. Still young and got a couple for the U21’s the other day. Don’t want him doing it elsewhere when more experienced and us regretting getting rid to early?
