I'm in grumpy mode.

On a daily basis I see so called stories in the media and think why on earth are you printing that rubbish.

Today's example from the sun is a puff piece for BA's new 1st Class cabin.

As some of you may know travel is my thing but like most people I will never be able to afford to travel first class. How many sun readers will see that and say "Jeeves get me on the next flight"?

I get why BA want to push it but it's just like "company plans new Concorde or flying taxi" It's irrelevant to most readers.

What I want to hear is that BA has improved economy.

Anyway feel free to donate pointless stories, please no politics we get enough of that on other threads. Just stories that seem pointless to most readers. Also stories about celebs are pointless but popular so no need to include them.

Premier League footballer's rubbish 'found dumped outside flats'

Angry residents got in touch with Crystal Palace to report Jefferson Lerma, 30, for fly-tipping.

To sum up. Some residents had rubbish dumped near them and traced it back to Lerma. They called the club who investigated and found that Lerma had paid for the waste to be removed properly only for these people to dump it illegally.

The club immediately arranged to have the rubbish removed and apologised on Lerma's behalf.

Err that it.

In hindsight Lerma used the wrong guys but in fairness this is quite a common scam.

I do read the Mail online but only because it was free. Many of the stories are now behind a paywall if the Guardian was free I would read that to get a balance.

I get most of my news from GBNews and X Twitter. I check the sources and validity of posts on X Twitter to both left and right media online but when it’s a full video of an incident it’s pretty clear.

I wouldn’t know how to access news on Telegram. Actually, what is the point of Telegram? P0rnography, prostitution, drugs and trying to hide messages. Have I missed anything? I notice they removed the function to be able to see nearby users if they hadn’t switched the public view toggle to no. I forgot young women having profile pictures of women pouting.

I have considered subscribing to Grounded to get news and opinions of news from left and right media but I doubt I have the time and Twitter and GBNews have politically left opinions anyway, despite the claims of lefties.

I get most of my news from GBNews, Telegram and Twitter/X.

I don't watch the news on TV, not my thing.

The media complain that people are getting their news from unreliable sources on the internet. At the same time they are now putting up paywalls.

Some people on here complain that I get my news from the right wing Daily Mail well I would read the Guardian if it was free. The Mail is gradually going paywall well they can whistle for my money when they go the whole hog.
