Steve Parish is the best thing to happen to this club. His tenure as chairman has been incredible on so many levels. The club has achieved huge progress on the field. Off the field (stadium aside)he has been immense. Look at the people we have around the club that care for it, look how we represent south London, how people view us from the outside.
If he leaves we will gain bigger transfers, a new stadium quicker and a major loss of identity.

If I was a billionaire I’d buy the club and have him run it 100%. He loves this club as much as any of us

Saturday was magic. Today I watched it back on tv and I am eternally grateful win or lose that we were not Man City with Saudi money. City have some great fans but the change they went through is huge and not all positive

I was wondering today whether Parish now feels he can relinquish control of the club, having reached this summit. We’re going to need more investment to compete in Europe and pay the higher salaries our best players are going to want, and it’s not clear if we can get that if he continues to insist on his voting majority.

Is it the summit though? He's a Palace fan and wants to build something substantial and leave a real legacy. Look at the clubs who've accepted vast amounts from investors with no interest in them other than making a profit or the opportunity to launder dodgy money - would we really want to change places with them?

I concur, I think he and Freedman have been pivotal getting us to this moment.....Not forgetting all the other contributions. People rightly focus on the manager and the players but if it isn't competent and reliable at the top of your club's pyramid you have no chance.

The lower leagues are a graveyard of clubs who rose and then imploded....ourselves in the early 80s and 90s and some are even in League one now.....even clubs who won the FA Cup and then imploded.....Wigan, Wimbledon.

I regard what happens around Parish and the ownership as just as important as Glasner or his replacement.

It's always important what happens next.....but extra so this time because the eye is out for our best players and the manager.....and while we know new players are coming in we don't know yet what the side will look like.

We really don't want to be losing 0-4 each match in Europe and embarrassing ourselves in our first time there.

We will be fine. Win community shield, finish 12-14th and take the palace on a European tour with a manager that can take us well into the tournament. I’d take that! Amazing time in our clubs history

It’s a summit, hopefully not the last one. And to be clear, I have a lot of trust in Parish. I’m not sure I could stomach some of the investment routes that other clubs have taken.

For all the inevitable, and well-deserved, praise that Glasner and the players will now receive, I just wanted to take a moment to discuss Steve Parish, without whom we wouldn't even have a club to support now, let alone be FA Cup winners.

This a man who saved us, stabilised us, took us to the Premier League, kept us up for over a decade and has now won us a trophy and European football.

These are unprecedented and heady days for our club and it's tough to know how much further we can go but, even if it all fell apart now, nobody can ever take yesterday away from us and it's all thanks to him in my view.

He isn't just a positive force for our club though but, also, for English football in general. In an age where commercialisation is key and the big clubs constantly try to bully their way to even greater advantage, he has regularly been on the right side of decisions and is clearly a greatly respected voice for the smaller club in league matters.

I haven't always agreed with all of his decisions and have sometimes bemoaned our transfer policy and managerial hires but he clearly knows better than all of us and we have been on an overall upward curve, whilst maintaining financial stability, since he arrived.

One day he deserves a statue or a stand naming after him. We're very lucky to have him.

I don't think Parish is anywhere near voluntarily stepping down yet. He is a Palace addict (like most of us) and will want to enjoy our European journey. I also think he will want to stay on and see the new stand built. What a legacy he would be leaving then.

I hope this doesn't just relate to the enhancement of the value of his investment!

Of more concern is that Parish is only willing to commit to Glasner remaining another year, being decidedly vague on anything longer term.
I suppose it has to be taken into consideration that both he and his staff have families overseas and may want to return.

We have a unique culture at Palace and I genuinely don't the fans would except it if an oil tycoon came in to buy us. This is why the Newcastle fan behaviour was so surprising when it happened to them.

We are blessed to have a true Palace fan at the helm and long may it continue.

I'll take the pride, passion and community over mega bucks and hollow success every day. We've had our day in the sun and it can never be taken away.
