The truth has been hidden by a myriad of deliberate misdirected investigations. IMO the focus towards racism as a motivation for the attack and the subsequent cover-up was deliberate misdirection.
The focus should have been on Lawrence's drug connections, and those of his attackers. But because there were links to drugs corruption in the police force, it was better for any investigation to follow the racism route, rather than expose widespread drug-related criminality in the police force
