But can you imagine if this had been the Tories! Hang drawn and quartered wouldnāt have been enough for the leftA day after the rail re-nationalisation bill passed, much of it her own work, and following the 1.6 billion injection to restore the bus network, it can't be her lack of ability or loyalty.
Was the transport minister 'thrown under a bus'? Not tory enough for Starmer, her replacement looks very 'blairish'.
She looks 'leftie' and may even be a socialist, heaven forbid in a labour government.
For a change one can sympathise with a politician, pleaded guilty for a minor offence her explanation satisfied the court and 11 years ago, everybody has something in their past they regret.

Sorted - more or less. . . . .Sorry that was a mess and donāt know how to edit
Whatās your theory on Lammy being given the job of foreign secretary then? He must be academically pretty good but lacks a lot of other intelligence.
The only other names mentioned seem to have been Douglas Alexander and David Miliband. That's an excellent question. Because its clear he has not got it due to his deep knowledge of foreign affairs. Not got a clue. Its possible that given the instability of the world at the moment, they wanted to put somebody in situ who could be easily replaced but....nah. Stumped on that one. Perhaps we need to come at this from a different, and potentially more scary angle. Who should be doing the job?
He isnāt at all bright, academically or otherwise. He is totally out of his depth and he is very aware of it. All he wants to do is get back to his LBC presenting job as heās more interested in that than being the Countryās second most important diplomat.Whatās your theory on Lammy being given the job of foreign secretary then? Starmer has said that Lammy will have the job for 5 years which is a pretty risky forecast - and not only for the fact that he'll have to deal with Trump before long and the comments he's made in the past won't have been forgotten.Mhmmm. David Miliband would be an interesting choice. Have to pull the same stunt they did with Cameron with the Lordship but possible. He is pure deep state, has previous experience in the role and has global links. Be interesting to see if this happens.
Been seeing some interesting chatter though about the 'why now' for this link about Miss O2. Seems there could be a push for the third-runway at Heathrow as some kind of flag-ship project, portraying Labour as being all about stimulating the economy (which it would). And Haigh seens a potential problem with that. Possible.
Also that entire 'burying bad news' narrative makes sense on a day like this with this Killing Old People vote.
I canāt stand him as a politician but tbf he mustāve been academically bright to get to Harvard and heās actually not bad on his radio programme, probably because he has quite a few conservatives in his family and tones out his lefty rants and outbursts. He isnāt at all bright, academically or otherwise. A 3rd runway? So more planes = more passenger tax. What about the net zero we are being bombarded with? Only when it suitsMhmmm. David Miliband would be an interesting choice. The net zero is reached by taxing individuals who really don't pollute that much - not by taxing businesses who do. Just another excuse to tax you to prop up multi nationals.A 3rd runway? So more planes = more passenger tax. What about the net zero we are being bombarded with? Only when it suits

Emma Thompson can fly 5000 miles to take part in a climate protest to warn others about flying off in holiday and it's all fine. Greta Thunberg sails across the Atlantic to reduce her carbon footprint then someone else has to fly across to collect the boat. Brilliant.
