First question; do you think some kids trashing a shop is comparable to a 'missile landing'?

Because assuming we agree those are not remotely comparable acts, their significance is obviously not solely determined by their frequency.

I'd also point out that if it were only a single bomb dropped in Palestine, the reaction would not have been even 5% of what it has been - the volume of the bombing is very much a key factor in people's reaction.

In a previous post I was at great pains to point out immigrants who started a major beneficial company it is a very difficult task to be eugenically selective, sometimes we are short of nurses and bus drivers and do not really need Albert Einstein , I will accept that you are Einstein and look down upon us mere mortals.

As far as I know; we don't have a problem with nurses and bus drivers who came here from abroad, stabbing people.

You then said we needed bus drivers and nurses. No problem there.

Whenever I see a mentally impaired person being looked after , walking down the street - the carer, is normally a black African man or woman. Quite a lot of Asian men and women too.

So you see I understand; but filling the important jobs with foreign help is not what we are discussing.

I don't accept every stat, but I don't think just inventing your own reality is any better an approach.

Croydon has improved considerably since 20 years ago, as has Clapham.

I did concede that there is a genuinely slight improvement of a few stats recently: which I can imagine as there was an absolutely mental period. It's gone from what, the very worst in knife crime to just being one of the worst. I suppose if it continues it might just become very bad or something as wonderfully good as that.
But I'll also state the stats are clearly manipulated from before that - as anybody of anything over fifty will know. More or less any crime was news. Police used to even come if your house was burgled. Even if your car was vandalised slightly! Imagine that. Sounds crazy now. You must realise crime is barely reported now and there are obviously ways of wiping it off the system. Never to be seen again. Had any minor crime you didn't bother reporting? You would have in the 70s and 80s.
