How about corporal punishment for carrying a knife, really think it would be a deterrent if society is serious about this, there is no room to imprison people for knife carrying.
The current way this is being policed and punished is simply not working at all
Singapore uses the cane and it is a very effective deterrent.
The animals who have made knives an everyday thing need to be treated differently and severely.
Of course it will be made a racist " slave whipping " thing as so many of the punished in London would be black because of the demographics of knife usage.
Before defaulting to ideological groupthink ask yourself
Is London knife crime level acceptable to you>
Is the current punishment level a deterrent?
I would consider any method to reduce this epidemic but see few options, the caring people who are trying to educate, many ex gang members, are doing a good but are overwhelmed by events.
Is a radical approach needed?
Would fewer young black lives be changed forever by injury or death?
