Well the guy was a prize cnt but obviously he could see that he was the string keeping the s*** parcel together.

Hypothetically if they were to go down who would you want to coax away?

For me it's Dominic Solanke, just so we can put him on boot scrubbing duties, stupid prick.

And definitely, definitely no bloody Dragusin. I dropped a hot one when we were linked with him in January.#

I'd quite like to see Conor back in the red and blue. In my view he played his best football during his loan with us and has looked lost recently. Certainly his time with Spurs is doing him no favours.

I can't help thinking he'd relish the opportunity to play somewhere he's appreciated and there's no doubt Ollie could revive his career and improve his performances. Oh, I forgot. Ollie won't be here next season.

He's still only 26, but he looked tired and a lot older last night. OK, forget it!

He's on seriously big money

There is considerably better value out there than CG.

I think it was either crouch or Cole said last night, there’s not one spurs player that would get in the palace side at the moment, and I agree, they’re either shite(by premier league standards) or they’re big time Charlie’s and only give their all when they fancy it

Wouldn’t mind Glen Hoddle or Gazza in their prime though 😎 and Pat Jennings is my favourite all time goalkeeper, although he wouldn’t replace Deano

None of them are that impressive. A Spurs fan was on Sky this morning moaning that they sold their top goalscorer - one Brennan Johnson apparently.
In truth they relied on Harry Kane's goals to get results and paper over the cracks for years and now he's gone their weaknesses have been exposed.

If Spurs do go down can’t imagine very many of their team would stay, they would all want top league football. Would be a close season of massive upheaval, new manager, back room staff and players.

Their wage bill is 50% higher than ours and most of the players you'd take are either on huge wages or would expect transfers to Champions League clubs.

Of the ones on reasonable salaries I'd take:

Yves Bissouma: Turns 30 in August but a good defensive midfielder and on 55k a week. If we need a midfield rebuild this summer could definitely do worse.

Djed Spence: Pains me to say it but still not fully convinced about Mitchell. £40k a week.

Archie Gray: Probably well out of our league and being linked to huge clubs. But... young and a great passer. If we sell Wharton he'd be a good replacement if we could sell ourselves as a stepping stone.

No to Connor for me.

IMO its not about being appreciated, its about role in the team. He has only really ever looked brilliant playing for us in that 10 position in a low block team.

He's been pretty poor everywhere else he's been. Personally wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

I'd be very surprised if spurs went down. They are in awful form but such things tend to right themselves in the end. I'd love to think that one of West Ham, Forest, or Spurs would go down but it'll probably be Leeds. They have the least experience and quality of the four, and that tends to play out over a season, whatever dramas and ups and downs happen along the way.

More importantly, the list of players who have stepped down to Palace from the first team of bigger clubs and done well for us is a very short one. They tend not to be as hungry as they might be. I'd be wary of anyone of note playing at Spurs for that reason alone.

I’m thinking that now, I would’ve said one season wonder, but he was Chelsea’s best player when he went back there until they had to sell him. Poor since though and I make you right about having him back now

I also came to the same conclusion in my post MrR.

As much as I loved him during his time with us, he wouldn't fit now. Actually, I don't think Spurs will keep him and he'll probably find his only suitors will be outside this country.
