OfWat have given the green light for Southern Water to raise bills by 44% over next 5 years, due to lack of water and work needed to be done.
WTAF! Perhaps stop building houses in the region and invest in some reservoirs. Am on holiday so rant over, for now

Perhaps stop paying such large bonuses to the board and over generous dividends to shareholders.
The water companies have been ignoring investment in the infrastructure for years and now customers will suffer and pick up the cost!

At a time when we are being told we have more & more of this natural resource falling out the sky!

Makes me laugh, there was a serious leak down the road here not so long ago, water was absolutely gushing out and pouring down the road for days and days……..but I’m told to spend a minute less in the shower to save water 🤨

The biggest wasters of water are the Water companies.

Not Southern Water but a different Water Complany

How is this legal?
I used to swim in Trimpley reservoir as a teenager. Little did I know it was worth billions. Water companies have been a huge con since privatisation. It's a Labour government - if they want to be true Labour then Nationalise water. With minimal compensation.

Thames may go bust I keep hearing it will cost the taxpayer billions, why?

If Palace go bust the creditors suffer but no one else. The government can then step in and nationalise it, without compensation, before the asset stripping starts by the administrator.

I think may be due to Pension funds having a stake in the company which would have serious consequences for personal pensions. Just something I heard?
