South Korea's president declares emergency martial law

In a surprise late night television address he says the move was necessary to protect the country from North Korea's communist forces.

Just as an aside, North Korea has 10,000 artillery guns pointed at Seoul, the north can literally wipe Seoul off the map without the use of Nukes & barely making a scratch in its shell stockpile.

It appears not to be an identified immediate threat from the North, but more like the leader of the South, under domestic siege.
