Bearing in mind we paid £48m (hard to believe) for Larsen, I am wondering what Sorloth is worth today by comparison. Would have to be north of £100m, which would be equally ludicrous.

TBH I saw him in many games be the only reason we won or at least didn’t lose. Not just if he scored either. The oppos played more defensively if he was on it so to speak. Which meant we faced less attacks and a greater chance of not losing.

In the end just about everyone would go full Roy Keane on him every time he was on the ball… they knew they had to!

Even that in itself would lead to a decent amount of free kicks and penalties, although how many we took full advantage of is a different question.

Everybody he was sh*** I remember we had to take him off at half time v Grimsby in a home cup game he was that bad. Everyone was glad to see the back of him so don’t go blaming anyone because he’s now proving we were actually right to take a punt on him. Good luck to the lad but at the time it was a no brainer to let him go.
