Although not addressed to me as it’s about me, let me answer. I have had prostate cancer since 2010. Having had it removed I was told 3 years later I was cancer free, only to be told a year later it was back. Salvage radiotherapy killed most of it but it’s still there and growing slowly. It’s not yet affecting my daily life. Getting older will take care of that. I am otherwise fit, active and determined. I don’t do sitting around too well and having multi tasked most of my life see no reason to stop now. Yes I am a landlord and try hard to be a responsible one. It takes a few hours each week, enough to make me self employed. There being no gas in my rental properties.
I want to be treated like anyone else! I would like everyone to be treated with respect. Something that some other posters constantly fail to do.
I was 81 this year. Something that often surprises those encountering me for the first time. Indeed someone only this week said he thought I was 60! I don’t think he was trying to flatter me either. I still play bowls at least twice a week during the winter. Once outside in all weathers and once indoors. I am continuing to improve every year and for the third year in a row reached a County semi final. Not yet a final though. That’s the next target.
