The same Nicola Sturgeon who apologised in 2022 for the persecution of people accused of witchcraft in the 16th-18th centuries.

So her lawyer says that despite answering no comment to every question in her police interview she later sent them written answers, so she did co-operate with the police.

Yeah right. He didn't say whether her answers were satisfactory to the police or if she responded to their follow up questions.

Typical lawyers / politicians trick.

Of course she is. No way she benefitted from her husband having loads of money. And the party's oversight over that money would have been absolutely nothing to do with her. In no way was she in a position to know anything. All she was, was the head of the party and the wife of the guy stealing the money. There's just the slimmest connection there. He never benefitted from her position, of course.

I worked in Aberdeen first in 1987 and politically it was quite conservative, although Labour had seats but south. The nationalists were there but definite a minority.

That nationalism has grown significantly since then, but I could never understand why the nationalists were pro independence while being against Brexit.
 
So the country she chooses to move to is the same one she's been desperate to get away from. Wee Jimmy Krankie has a fine sense of irony.
