Sky Sports News this morning

We're 3/1 they're a shade of odds on ... Wharton and Kamada only played one half last night, Matata might be back, so might Sarr, the squad players are starting to fire - I was pessimistic b4 Burnley and
Fulham ... never dreamed of max points, you can't write us boys off, although City have started to look like their old selves a bit more lately. I can see us pinching a 1-1.
It's not impossible if we can frustrate them enough. A friendly ref could help. Like a Man U supporting one.

The thing about work, any job, is that there has to be an element of job satisfaction, and perhaps even enjoyment, and a smidgen of challenging oneself. Pay is also significant.

However much you want to contractually tie someone down, or offer them the contents of the company bank account, if they don't want to work for you, or work isn't as good as it should be. then they're going to seek pastures new.
SP is running the show for CPFC. and I don't see his philosophy on running the business being subject to change. (but it might be)
Contractual discussions are there to enable compromise that parties can work together with. Let's hope that is the end product, because in this instance, I think it might be worth accommodating Oliver Glasner's demands, at least so he stays

None of us want to be looking at Glasner working somewhere else next year, and wondering "what if ?"
Steve is also a minority shareholder these days and as such he only serves as Chair at the pleasure of the Yanks, particularly now Woody since the sale.

If they have a very different vision and feel like Steve isn’t playing ball, they can usurp him. I’m not saying they will or even should, but Steve will know all of this too and in a less dramatic way that means they can influence his decisions if they want to.

*If* Woody wants us to throw money, *particularly his own money*, at Oli, he will make it happen.

I don't think we have a chance of beating City with our injuries but our biggest problem is that we just don't generate the revenue to spend big on players.

Glasner should have known that when he signed up. I feel like he complains about spending to protect his reputation. He must know that Parish will do all he can to keep him short of bankrupting the club or breaking the rules.
Yes, and the new Squad Cost Ratio only adds to our problems as it suits teams with big revenue or don't mind paying fines as opposed to having points deducted e.g Newcastle
The only ways we are going to maintain our current standing is with much more matchday revenue - which probably not even the new stand will achieve; having a truly exceptional manager and striking platinum in the transfer market; or getting a bunch of Academy players through to the first team - which with the poaching by big clubs and much greater availabilty of cheaper foreign young players than in days past is probably a pipe-dream
It seems like we will need to sell good players regularly, hope that a couple of promoted teams are relegated each season and have a fluke year with injuries to match the past two seasons
