I always thought Peter Murphy was trying to parody Andi Sex Gang but I just did a Google and Bauhaus were first so...

Also, I often wonder if Brett Anderson is trying to replicate Peter Murphy?
 
Donavon looked like he was trying to replicate some of Bob Dylan's persona, although he always denied it. Quite liked his stuff though.
