Semi Final Match Thread

BTW, does anyone know any news on Mitchell? Limping off with 5 mins to go almost got forgotten (by me anyway). I prefer him to Chilwell and think we'll need him for the run in and the final.

I am pretty sure Glasner said it was cramp in an interview. Could be wrong but there was also no mention of any problems in Mitchell's post match interview

From the treatment they were giving Mitchell, it clearly looked like a mere cramp. In the moment, there's no good way to overcome it, but it should serve to remind him and his teammates to drink and eat properly before the final.

I dont know about anyone else but for me it feels different this time. In previous finals (or Semis) there has been an undeniable atmosphere amongst Palace fans to just be happy we have got this far and a determination to enjoy our day.
This time did we enjoy ourselves? Of course. Did we make so much noise the roof nearly came off at Wembley? Not half. But the calm but steely determination and self belief of Glasner definitely has changed self perception. I feel with the team we have we haven't just gatecrashed the final, we belong amongst this company. And reaching the final is amazing but as OG said its the next step not the last step. Now lets go and win it!
COYP!!!
Agree 100% with this. We absolutely belong in the final.

I believe if we had been able to train as a squad pre season then we would already be comfortably in a European place, top 8 for sure.

I really hope the club have finally learned that we must go into pre season with a settled squad if we are going to push on. The only thing holding us back now is the club. Parish has, I feel done it right most of the time, not lived beyond our means etc. But we are now a well run and established prem club. With Glasner at the helm we will never be in a better position to push on than now. I hope they make a statement and get Guehi to sign a new deal. Tie JPM and Eze down and slap a massive fee on Wharton. I am actually worried about Maxence getting tapped up, he’s been outstanding in his first season.

If we can keep them we really have something special next year.

I do believe that if we really want to sustain and surpass out current level of success we MUST upgrade the stadium. Parrish needs to find a Mr (or Mrs) Moneybags to get the new stand built maybe, with Textor looking a bit flaky, and the costs increasing all the time.

So, the UK's most trusted & unbiased broadcaster is 'pleading with the FA not to make the ko time for the final @17.15 on the Saturday, like our semi-final time, BECAUSE, it will overlap 'The Eurovision Song Contest', seriously?

Being reported in all the nationals/media apart from the bbc itself.

The new stand would be evidence of our progress as a club as long as we don’t lose our soul and fill it with corporate hospitality. We have the best fans in the league and Selhurst is part of that. It’s a proper stadium unlike so many of the new grounds in the PL.

Yes, and actually they have a good point.

You may not be a Eurovision lover, but these are 2 of the largest broadcast events of the year. Of course they want to avoid having to push one over to one of their sister channels.

This may also create an unfair advantage for ITV who also screen the match.

In truth, the noise rarely comes from the main stand. Polite applause at best.

It needs to have greater corporate hospitality and more family seats to bring on the younger generations.

Meanwhile, the other 3 stands can continue to produce the vibe that makes the ground so famous and help fill the prawn sandwich seats that attract critical revenue.

Absolutely no reason why it should be 5.15, there are no PL matches that day and 1 Division 2 play off game, I believe
