Interesting stuff there Penge. I had a squint at the issue dated February 6th '71 - the day I got married (at the church just off Copers Cope that you can see sometimes in pics of the training ground).
Palace were at home that day - no idea who we were playing - and as we were leaving the church on the way to our reception in Beckenham I made the mistake of asking the driver how the lads were getting on. Mrs POG was miffed that I was more interested in football than in our misty eyed first day of marriage. Anyway we're still together after 55 years so I guess she's forgiven me.
There's just one item in that edition which mentions Palace and it's an article by John Hollins with a photo of our Peter Wall and John Sewell getting stuck in, but he says he came away unscathed.
