Sayings you don't hear anymore

In bygone days I used the term "Belle of the ball" to a lady with refulgent eyes and a beatific smile came across her face.
I was never sure if that was a brand of insect repellent or it was used to treat bad backs and muscle strains, I'm shocked to find that it's neither of those. 'Straight up!' meaning 'honest!' - haven't heard that for a while. And when was the last time someone signed off with 'good day', and was this phrase ever used as a greeting, it's always been morning, afternoon or evening, whereas good night means goodbye after 9pm.
