Sayings you don't hear anymore

Of someone a bit too thin - she looks like a meat puddin' would do her good.
Anyone with bandy legs, "couldn't stop a pig in a passage".
All mouth and trousers.
Give someone a soldier's farewell - Goodbye and **** you.

I work around the country and notice some regional variations.

For example, "Please" and "Thankyou" are practically swear words in Essex.

‘’Excuse me’’ is an insult in most places like supermarkets. People like that boil my p1ss. It’s usually chav women with a low IQ and probably a bit of money, or they just like to show it with Ugg boots or whatever tasteless latest fashion.

A lot of the recent non Europeans in London have no manners. They might do if you become part of their life and it doesn’t help them being rude, but otherwise there’s plenty of rudeness.

"Excuse me" is slowly going the way of "I beg your pardon".
Used more and more in a passive aggressive sense, rather than a literal polite sense.

It's a shame because there will eventually be no polite ways left to ask people to move.

All i ever hear now is "sorry", that's it. It's like people don't know the phrase "excuse me (please)" anymore.

Yea, "Sorry, can I just squeeze through" seems to be the phrase of choice
Saying sorry to someone not thinking that they are completely blocking people moving through (me) isn’t appropriate in my book. If they are not in a thoroughfare then sorry is fine.
