Sara Sharif

Extract from BBC article Sara Sharif: Smiling, singing and dreaming of X Factor

"In March 2023 teachers at the school noticed bruising on Sara's face, and told Surrey County Council Children's Services.

The Children's Services investigation into the bruises took six days and the school was asked to monitor Sara.

This ended when Sara was taken out of school the next month."

Once "Home Schooled" there was little or no follow up.
Apologies one of the reports I read said differently. I hope all will be revealed if and when an investigation is held.

Perhaps you could direct me to where in the Koran this behaviour is supported.

It is cultural, not religious.
Perhaps you could direct me to where 'womens rights' are statistically excellent*, anywhere in the Muslim World ?

- voting rights
- jobs in Parliament
- domestic violence statistics

- career women, voluntary singledom, & financial independence
- education levels
- an absence of honour killings

- child-bride statistics
- rape statistics & conviction rates
- property ownership

- the right to wear whatever clothing they wish & an absence of acid attacks for non-compliance with modesty rules.

Let us know when you have found a region.

*Statistically Excellent vis a vis all the rest of the World

This was all to do with Islamic views on women and daughters in particular. Yet, there will be no critique of that.

are there many similar cases ? The case below is recent. And similar in the case of a young girl being killed by her own father. But different in the sense that a) the mother was Polish for Sara Sharif but b) it was an Irish mother for the case below. As discussed above, How does culture influence all of this ?

I don't think it's right or appropriate to use this utterly appalling case as a reason to criticise Islam. This week also saw the jailing of Scott Jeff for murdering his partner's 2 year old in Ipswich. I don't think we would accept this one as a "Christian" problem. There may well be something cultural (as opposed to religious) as a factor in the crime, but fundamentally it's about bad people without any moral compass.

Keep living in hope.

Well no, there are plenty of other reasons to criticise Islam.

Yes that's true, however what is also true is that if this imported family had never been here but instead stayed in their original country this wouldn't be a tragedy we would have to use our resources on.

I also suspect that if we looked at an honest breakdown percentage of family violence that European or especially Christian families would have lower instances than Islamic or south Asian families.

European or Christian problem families are issues that we have always dealt with.....importing foreign ones is naturally going to create observations regarding why this should be fostered upon us.

true. If i wrote a criticism on here, two Tier Keir might throw me into jail. And if i did a criticism verbally at Speakers Corner , then i might get stabbed as happened to the lady linked below.
Did they ever catch the law-breaker ? cos, they seem very good at catching some other law-breakers ? trawling the cctv and all that ......... ?
