i mean Glasner won us 3 trophies.

I tend to agree about Vieira though. He wouldnt play Olise. Still too early to comment on Sage i reckon.
I remember meeting Viera in a Mayfair restaurant. I asked him when he was going to drop Ayew and play Olise instead and he smiled and said…very soon.

Amazing how failure in football allows you to receive a cheque most of us would buckle at the knee for..

He seems a lovely bloke, he's calm, he obviously has potential.. but his experience is severely lacking and it shows... Palace were hoping they unearthed another gem... he could well be but a move to the prem was too soon a step up.

Or at least, the situation at palace is not right for him.. no defence being the main factor..

I do wonder how much of his 'pigeon english' has contributed to our slow uptake. I beleive he is a very intelligent chap, but his english isn't great and I do think mabe he struggles to get his ideas over to our mostly english squad.
I know we probably have a few French speakers in there, JPM at least, but it's not exactly ideal.

If they could cope with Ian Holloway though...

Crazy really given Olises obvious immense talent, even back then. The semi final against Chelsea was where he lost me though. The tactics that day were horrible werent they.

Back to Sage though, I hope he tweaks it a bit tomorrow. He wanted versatile players signed, its time to show some versatility himself i reckon. Obviously nothing him or anyone can do about the central defenders we have on the books until January, but if he can show he is capable of getting a few wins here and there until then perhaps he will win a few waverers over. Some of the attacking football has been top draw at times. It would be a shame to throw the baby out with the bath water just because of Richards and Canvot.

I don't believe that has anything to do with it football is fairly universal and plenty of people who can if needed describe things.

It's more like Sage doesn't understand the Prem and we have seen already he has no interest in looking at individual players strengths using that.

Team harmony is very important used to see that with OG it's not something I see now most of the training is the other guy shouting all the time.

When things are not working you start with basics defending this guy doesn't even appear to understand that I do think it's his lack of experience when you think about it he has only in been charge over all his clubs are senior level for around 100 matches with the rest of his experiences being amateur level even his playing career was only amateur (Had this been in England I believe he would have better understanding but it wasn't)

The guy may come good many years down the road but at this stage it was a bad appointment I said it at the time.

I think people get confused with best teams and best managers, they are very different, Glasner had the best players any manager has had, Vieira didnt have a clue, at any club, a Sage, a bit like Rosenoir got a Premier league club far too soon,
The top five mangers i have SEEN at palace IMO were:
Coppell
Hodgson
Venables
Bassett
Pulis

Why was Sage at the Ballon d'Or ceremony?! Was he hoping to entice Kane or Mbappe to Selhurst? Did he think Will Hughes had been nominated? What an odd place to turn up at.

Anyway, back to business.

I don't fancy Frank. His positive image comes from his long stay at Brentford, but its hard to tell how much of their success was down to him, especially as they have caried on so seamlessly without him. It went badly for him at Spurs, but then it has for a lot of people. Again, was he a cause? Was he even a factor? Hard to say. I never detect much in his work that suggests a solid tactician there, more a good lad. Wouldn't be the end of the world, but not first choice for me.

Dyche is a solid tactician. He has one tactic, that of uber-solidity, and he adheres to it through thick and thin. Mostly thin. It would be an understandable appointment but, again, not first choice for me.

Personally I like the idea of McKenna. I think he has the coaching credentials to impress and organise the players without going totally defensive.

Id have Glasner top purely for what he delivered. Would agree with the others. Might swap Bassett for Dowie for what he so nearly achieved.

i don't hate anybody, i just think some people are completely incompetent, no hate.
It does at times I do read your post and it does . But also I can understand what you are saying . Its two sides of a opinion , its whether you agree or disagree . We all want the best but we as a club cant delivery. For xyz reasons . Wembley Sheffield utd the last 10 15mins I was getting supporters up chanting to get the club over the line . There's different ways to show passion ❤️🦅🦅🦅🦅

Hate to say it, we have Built a team nigh on ready made for Dyche, 442 (or 4411)
Disasi and Richards: No nonsense CBs,
Mitchell, Mingueza: fairly solid FBs
Wharton, Timber: 2 high energy CMs
RW Pino, LW McNeil putting in Crosses for:
JSL and Sarr.

how has that happenned?!
