Find it interesting that 1 in 2 of us have decided Sage needs to leave. The remaining 50% either can’t decide or want him to stay.
Does anyone really believe Sage can turn this around?
I'm in the "give him until Christmas" camp. So I am in but at the same time my confidence that he will turn this around is dwindling by the week.

It does not look like we have lost six out of nine league games this season; it looks more like we have lost the same game six times being opened up the same ways and making the same mistakes.

There is nothing wrong with anything the team do collectively. Thats the work of the coaches. Our defence is not exposed. Timber does a great job in front of them when fit. Same with Hughes and Doucoure.
You can protect our defence up to a point but if they're crap they're crap
And they are, make no mistake. I would almost prefer to see a LB Chilwell and DM Lerma either side of Disasi until Tomiyasu gets back than have to watch any more of Ahanor, Richards & Cannot anymore this season. You keep hoping they will improve as the latter 2 literally cost us match after match they play in but at least their attitude is good and as a collective group they do fight for each other and Sage in every match right up to the end. He does seem incredibly passive on the touchline though. I guess that can be interpreted as being out of your depth when you are losing, but ive watched him when we are winning 3 and 4 nil and he is exactly the same then as well! Hendersons comments give me hope that he will be the next Hurzeler, rather than the next De Boer. I know managers dont get a lot of time these days, but this is an incredibly new team with tactically inept central defenders. A proper defensive coach would improve them, but only up to a point.

Our defence is not exposed ? It's constantly a 3 vs 3 situation, considering the average premier league player is big, strong and fast, its not exactly easy when they have 3 constantly running at them full speed. You could have 3 Maldinis and they would struggle with what we are asking of our defence. This is why we're conceding 2 goals a game.

Let's undo the myth about how we are so much better attacking under Sage.

We haven't scored in 5 of our 9 league games so far.
Let than sink in.

Put that together with our terrible defensive record and tell me that the system is working.

That's why you should never defend 1 on 1 always have a extra player helping . Makes it harder for the attacking team to breakdown

It could just be that the team is built on precarious foundations, being the defence which is crap, and the system employed that makes it even worse. The rest follows naturally.

How is he still here?
I think it's quite cruel on him.
He's a dead man walking and it's could get toxic on sunday against him.
I think you have a point, it is like cruelty, watching a man unravel in front of the world media is not nice, he must be dreading tomorrows game, i fear for his mental health, he seems a nice guy totally out of his depth, almost hard to watch.

I don't think anyone on here is holding Sage totally responsible.

He has been unlucky with the situations around Sarr and Mateta and that the summer signings haven't really shown up or perhaps aren't good enough.

These things could fall into place for a new manager.

The only certain things in life are death, taxes and that football managers will get sacked.

Liverpool attack in waves but miss most of their chances , so I’m feeling slightly optimistic that we will ride our luck and get a sneaky win 🙂.
Resurrection day for Sage .

Resurrection Day, a thrilling new blockbuster starring Tom Hardy as Pierre Sage, a man fighting against all the odds to clear his name against slurs of incompetence! Will he make it? Stay tuned!
