Sage in his own words (Before Palace)

No Johnson or Esse in the squad to play Fulham this evening.
Both linked with moves, but their absence this evening may be unrelated.
 
Having watched and read a bit about Pierre Sage our new manager, it is going to be a fascinating time.

High press, high intensity, focussing on play in possession rather than counter attack. The success he had at Lyon and Lens yet he emphasises his methods are a learning experience for the players and can take time.

Are we on the cusp of our highest ever Premier League finish…or are we going to be looking for a new manager before Xmas?

I’m nervously excited. If I were a betting man I’d be saying the former but anything can happen with Palace.

Agreed I am excited if we play like Sage wants us to. I guess the only concern then will be are defence. If we are all bombing forward we could get caught on the break.

I really hope he delivers.

It’s similar to OG but hopefully attack with a40% chance of a shot or a move towards a shot than the 70% OG wanted before a defender played the ball out 🤔
