I don't know if this has been brought up on this thread, but I stumbled across this on YouTube.
Khan is being questioned by Peter Fortune about the public consultation prior to the ULEZ expansion, and it transpires that Khan threw away 5000 objections against his proposal to make it look like there wasn't much opposition. When confronted with it he basically just shrugs it off.

It has also been reported that the figures Khan used for London air pollution were deliberately taken from the worst day of the year. As we know air quality is impacted by weather so the same level of traffic pollution can have a massive difference on air quality depending on the weather than day.
Or put it another way I could say I have magic beans and that the air quality has improved by using those figures.
Planning permission is done in a similar fashion, consultation means write/e mail in and we will ingnore you it starts at the end of next month regardless. in all honesty standard practice.

Yeah , but Khan spent hundreds of thousands of pounds of taxpayers money setting up the consultation, knowing full well that he was going ahead no matter what.
He's as corrupt as they come.
That explains how Croydon Council wasted so much money and can do nothing as they are financially to all intents and purposes bankrupt.

I've never understood this hate crime laws. The same people who demand to be treated as equals (fair enough) then demand special treatment under the law.
The law should treat all people fairly, victor and perp regardless of gender, religion etc. There is no need to have so called hate crimes just laws that protect us all.

I don’t understand why anyone gets their knickers twisted over this! It’s really not complicated.The Met Police explain it like this:-
“In most crimes it is something the victim has in their possession or control that motivates the offender to commit the crime. With hate crime it is ‘who’ the victim is, or ‘what’ the victim appears to be that motivates the offender to commit the crime.
A hate crime is defined as 'Any criminal offence which is perceived by the victim or any other person, to be motivated by hostility or prejudice based on a person's race or perceived race; religion or perceived religion; sexual orientation or perceived sexual orientation; disability or perceived disability and any crime motivated by hostility or prejudice against a person who is transgender or perceived to be transgender.'
A hate incident is any incident which the victim, or anyone else, thinks is based on someone’s prejudice towards them because of their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or because they are transgender.
Evidence of the hate element is not a requirement. You do not need to personally perceive the incident to be hate related. It would be enough if another person, a witness or even a police officer thought that the incident was hate related.”
So whilst murder, rape or GBH will always be crimes if they are motivated by hatred they become, additionally, hate crimes.
