They dropped that charged and replaced it out with an attempted assault count.
Because as in all good court cases, you should just make up the charges as you go along.
I find Russel Brand to be an interesting person. There are times when he is talking when I think wow, that was really insightful. And then the rest of the time I'm thinking wow, that is what drugs can do to the human mind.

So the judge is assisting the prosecution by changing one charge into a different one that he can be found guilty of.
