For a couple of matches and then a love affair with the physio will blossom it will not be a boon to us more of a Mills and Boon.A Rolls Royce of a midfielder... when fit and match fit.
He is one of the few players I can think of who could play in Wharton's role should he move on. He could contest Kamada's/Hughes'/Lerma's role, or one of the Johnson/Sarr/Pino slots.
The stat which jumps out to me is this: he has played more than 30 league games in a season just once.
Several of these seasons were at AC Milan, a club world renowned for its "MilanLab", rehabilitation and sports science (Milan Lab for the health of football players | AC Milan).
He is now 29.
Unlikely to improve his injury record at this stage so whilst I really like the player and think he would fit in great (just like he did before) regrettably it would be a no from me.

We have our own RLC anyway. David Ozoh. Similar build and style but can he now keep fit? Derby fans love him to bits and think with him back they may make the playoffs. If they do and he plays well we will have him back. Roy liked DO because he reminded him of RLC and rarely liked any players under 25!I can only think of Olise other than RLC, in recent years, where I thought with the upmost conviction "He's too good to be playing here".
Somebody else called him a 'Rolls Royce of a midfielder' and I completely agree.
Injuries seem to have hampered him however and I don't think being a Chelsea player, as one of 2,700, did much for his career.
I'd take him back, if he were paid per game, but unfortunately I don't think any return to us is remotely on the cards.

I'm always very skeptical whenever anyone gets overexcited about our youth players but of all of them that I have seen, who have played in the first team, Ozoh for me was the 'yeah I could see this happening'.
Perhaps that's why he's still playing for Derby? Just thinking that maybe others who are thrown in are pot-luck shots to see if they set the world alight and if not, no loss. Maybe there's higher expectations of him so they want him to learn his trade? Just a thought, nothing more from me.

Proper funnyHe'd be really good but is 29 and always getting injured. Bet he's on loads of money as well. Feel like we need to reduce the amount of expensive medical science projects we sign.
