Probably more reason to have a mural of Roy at Selhurst Park than anyone else he saw us through the transition period between just about clinging on to premiership status and being a Premiership force to be reckoned with Croydon born and bred and vastly experienced, an unusual thing in the modern age of football he is not paid the respect he deserves.

I got fed up with him being our manager in the end but I found it impossible to dislike him. As he served us as best he could. It's pretty much all Palace fans ask. We're pretty humble Oliver.
So nice a man you could not dislike him, humble beginnings and never acted the big star.
