Roy Keane

Doesn't work like that for me. I like Van Morrison's music but wouldn't want to meet him because he's a world renowned miserable bugger and two of us together would be too much.

They do say, never meet your heroes incase you’re disappointed, but come on, Roy Keane over Wrighty? I’d sooner meet Keane over many a pundit, so I get your point, but not Wrighty

I’ve never really understood palace fans holding this against him, he’s rightly proud of his time at Arsenal with the goals he scored and the trophies he won.
For me he was a breath of fresh air for palace and I loved his time with us, especially after the donkeys we had up front immediately before him(except Kevin Mabbutt)
All very noble Bromley and I bet you get on with all your exs.

I however sir, am a twisted feck.

I take your point but I met my hero Don Rogers, and he was very pleasant, so anyone else is just gravy.

I’ve told this story a million times, but when I was a kid I met Billy Gilbert. He was very unpleasant, in fact he told me and my mate to ‘fcuk off’ But then we probably deserved it, we ran in front of his Jag to get him to stop and as we ran excitedly to his window, that’s when he uttered the immortal words. (True story)
But he’s still my hero 😎🤣

Not at all, there’s many an ex palace player I hate, Clive Allen is probably top of the list, I just can’t hate Wrighty like some
I don't hate him by any means. Among his many goals the two in the Cup final were just...well, you know.
I just wish he didn't treat us like an embarrassing ex- compared to the love of his life.
It doesn't help that my top mate is a Gooner who still winds me up about him and Kenny Sansom.
