Wouldn't suprise me one bit Jamie , thats what we get for dragging the bollix out of it and fapping about . The longer it goes on the more chance there is of us being gazumped.

I think it feels like it happens often as it's memorable when it does but in reality it doesn't occur that much. I can't think of too many examples tbh. Bowen and Benrahma going to west ham I think we were interested and then Semenyo we did bid for but then didn't return with a higher bid.

It's looking a bit of a shame though that no 'gazumped' us to Nketiah though!

Hopefully it will happen but if not, St Steve will have to lose some of his bank edit as well as possibly losing one of the best managers I can remember at Palace
 
Millwall fans loving the possibillity of Bornmuff bidding and us losing out. Even on their neanderthal site they can't understand why after all this time to have the deal in place there has been no announcement.

When he was available for £8m we had Olise in his position. But we still may have gone for him and he chose B'mouth. Who knows!

We don't even know if their "reported" interest in Esse is true. Ariola may be asked today and honestly answer that he has no clue about it.

Will Salthouse was Wilf’s agent I believe, when he signed new deal. It appears Salthouse and Herve work together. Herve is the one who persuaded Wilf that Turkey was the right move for him. I don’t think he always has the players best interest to heart. Has a few other Oakace players he represents

Semenyo is right footed, so in the old 4-2-3-1 would have been ideal replacement for Wilf, but we fannied about, bidding 6.5m and Bournemouth came in with 8m and got him.

Semenyo has been deployed on both flanks and can hit a firm shot with either foot.
About a couple of years ago he gained that 'Unpredictable' tag in the sense that he would display brilliance and then frustrate.

In terms of his transfer at Bournemouth, my understanding is that it was £9 Mill rising to £10.5 Mill.

A missed opportunity, the only realistic players i would have liked in was Mike Tresor, who joined Burnley from Genk, but has played about as much as Franca due to injurie, bought by Kompany, who bought Olise for Bayern, similar style player, and my eternal praise of Morgan Whittaker, who looks like he could be signing for Burnley.
