Robert Jenrick sacked by Tories for 'plotting to defect'

You asked me a question and I gave you an answer, that.....as with happened in India with the British who had been there for generations....it's the country of linage.

The British seem to have been far more honourable about it.

How it happens? This has happened many times, I should imagine some arrangement is made with the original country.

People without allegiance shouldn't have a problem with leaving the country. They don't belong here and should be with the country they have loyalty to.
I think those British in the Raj had British passports, though, didn't hey?

'Some arrangement'. Supposing their 'lineal' country refuses to accept someone as a citizen because they have a British passport?

As has been asked: how is 'allegiance' measured? And how would we know if someone is telling the truth?:

'In a cricket match, who do you support?' 'Well, England, of course'
'Do you have an allegiance to the Union flag or the flag of your parents' birth county?' 'England, of course'.

Easy.

I literally tell you of an occasion in history when this has happened to the British.

And from DanH I get 'incoherent mess'.

Is that like your economic predictions for the future Dan?

As for 'who gets to decide'? Am I writing policy here? I have my thoughts on the issue but I'll keep them to myself.
Why would you do that? They'd be interesting to read, I think.

His policy is f*cked if they don’t like cricket.

If you want to be taken seriously you have to explain how practically this solution could work.

The guy who leads with insults is the one who tells me about being taken seriously?

You can't handle serious discussions you're just about coming on here and virtue signalling.

I think you're being a little coy here.

Such as? Anything in mind?

As I say, I'm not interested in discussing methods or who wouldn't and would qualify for hypotheticals though I can see how it could be done legally.

Still, as a titbit I'd say removing most of the Boris-wave would be the low hanging fruit.

Blood from a stone here.

Why on Earth not? Youve obviously given it some serious thought.

How can it be done legally? (I wasn't thinking of illegally)

Sorry but I don't understand 'Boris wave'.

And where do you think 'perchance' came from, oh wise one?

I'll take it as a yes on my question.

Why would anybody who doesn't have allegiance to a country have a problem with leaving it.

You may view countries as interchangeable economic zones but I don't.

Also, don't speak for me (something you have done more than once), I haven't advocated for violence and it's you mentioning it.

I don't see things that way, however as we don't live in a country with proper free speech at the moment even talking around these matters isn't something that has a point.

Does that mean all the retired Brits on the Costa del Sol and in the Canaries have to come home unless they start speaking Spanish and supporting the Spanish football team?

You'll be surprised how many retired Brits do NOT live in or near the Sol, so many better & cheaper areas. A lot of us do speak Spanish as opposed to "Benidorm lingo" & which Spanish football team would that be? Personally, I support Benidorm CF, only 35mins away on the tram for me.

Wouldn't that be for the Spanish?

Not sure you're quite getting the concept son.

Well if we are sending back anyone that is not deemed to have 'allegiance' to the UK then it's likely most countries will reciprocate, non?

Best hope the Spanish version of Stirling never takes charge - unless you burst into patriotic tears at the sound of the Spanish national anthem you could be on the first plane back to Blighty.

That would be entirely up to them.

There are such things as visas and means for people to live somewhere as a foreigner without being recognised as....for example, 'Spanish'. This is done in most countries.

Japan does this....it doesn't mean you get to be Japanese.....Japan will exist in a 100 years as Japanese.

If a country wanted to pull an 'India' for example and get rid of an entire ethnicity.....It's their right.

A country belongs to the people who have allegiance to it.

I'm of these isles....I belong here.

The lands my ancestors fought, lived, f***ed and died on.....stupid wars and justified ones or no wars.

My allegiance isn't fake, it's here, where I was born and where I will die.

I don't look to other flags or have mixed feelings.

If a Spanish Stirling has allegiance to Spain, then that's where he belongs.
