Ricky Jones the wannabe throat cutter

is apparently due for another court appearance on Friday Sept 6th, eyes peeled for there this goes. Looking at sentences for other riot related offences he is going down for a long time

"Defence barrister Hossein Zahir KC said Jones accepted the words had been spoken, but denied knowing the offence of violent disorder would be committed.
District judge Oscar Del Fabbro said the case would be referred up to the presiding judge.
He ordered the defendant to produce a defence statement by 25 October."

Something to be gleaned from the larger article. Ricky Jones is currently in custody, presumably until trial. Not sure if Bail has been set.
The fact it is being referred upwards might suggest that a potential sentence is going to be bigger than the lower Judge can give.
And ignorance of the law is not a tangible, or valid, legal defence.

Couldn't that granny that tweeted about burning mosques down have used that same excuse as Jones is.

I bet she didn't even get a chance to speak before being dragged off to prison!

Why? It is on camera what he did, clear as day. Presumably the delay so they can slip his lenient sentence ( if any) under the radar
Why? Err clearly you are not familiar with the judicial system.

This appearance was to enter.a plea. He for whatever reason please not guilty so now it has to go to.trial.

Had he pleased guilty he would have gone down and I hope for a decent stretch.

True, yet all the "far right thugs" got fast-tracked and are already sentenced. This wasn't - demonstrating a difference.

But not all of them!!

Which surely makes the other poster’s point valid then!
And a fair few who went down the guilty route are still awaiting trial.

I am not trying to make any political point here. This guy needs to be sent down as I reckon it is a slam dunk case, but right now our legal system is all over the place and needs reform.

Most of those who pleaded guilty did so under lawyer advice.....some of which is speculated not to have been in their interest.

This Jones guy however, probably received the opposite advice precisely because the judicial system is two tier and is likely to soft touch him. Even the charge placed upon him could have been significantly worse than it is.

I really hope the system finds him innocent. Or gives him a slap on the wrist. It will be a wonderful moment for so so many people. The actual undeniable proof about the two-tier system.

This is what could be potentially a genuine teachable moment.

Hope Ricky gets to be out with his comrades come the May Day celebrations the Reds love.

It would be barely reported.

The whole point of delaying the case, compared to other cases was for the news cycle to move on. Most of the people who will take note are people like us. However, those who are already on the way to red pilling and were annoyed with Starmer's tone deaf attitude towards why the riots happened might take note.

However, the reality is that.....just as with AfD in Germany, the real sea change in Britain will be with the next generation experiencing the left wing/centre in power and the reality between their expectation and what is delivered......I mean they literally allowed the civil service to bully them into getting rid of the deputy PM and other ministers.....absolutely embarrassingly weak.

A lot of them will realise that the milk toast Tories are never going to change the dial over these particular issues.....indeed, the Tories introduced 'woke' themselves and literally appointed woke leaders into institutions.

That's where the real support comes in when the youth realise that tinkering with the power system just won't cut it.

In Ireland, we call it "putting it on the long finger". A bit like when I'm going to redecorate downstairs.
As you say, it's a common tactic for us oiks to just forget about something by delaying it. We obviously have short attention spans and are treated like children.
Whenever Starmer talks, that's what I feel like. Like he's telling off/ lecturing some kids.

His budget will cane and annoy millions which will create ‘far right’ protests which will be more court appearances and bird so removing Ricky the slash from people’s minds.

Maybe, but I think people are forgetting. You can't keep these stabby mental people down. Or your common-or-garden Muslim extremist. There are going to be multiple murders and attacks - which Starmer has now encouraged by quashing any push back.
This is out of Starmer's control and he's obviously too ignorant, stupid or blind to realise it. Who knows who the targets will be? It could all come home to roost easily enough for Starmer and he could end up with more than egg on his fat face.
Any amount of far right shaming then will look like pissing into the wind. Starmer will fall into the void of another irrelevant and poor Prime Minister in a proud and long line of them.
Frankly, it's likely enough to be soon. One look around any English city will confirm that.
