Reform

And that is why he is on my ignore list.

It's a waste of time debating with the brainwashed.

The truth is now clear for everyone to see. Those in denial are those who don't choose to see it.

You just ignore anyone that dare challenge your myopic world views. The most precious and fragile of the lot on here.

You are entitled to your faulty opinion.

However, I will make the following points:

One, I think it would be acknowledged that I have made plenty of criticisms of Israel on this forum. However, I'm just a pleb with a keyboard typing on the politics section of a footy site. The BBC however has a remit to provide impartial coverage....I will also acknowledge that I believe that the BBC did attempt this....So while I'm also a heavy critics of the BBC I make no attempt to blame them for what happened here.

Regardless, the BBC ended up unwittingly broadcasting direct incitement to violence by airing, 'death to the IDF' chants and the implicit, 'from the river to the sea', during its coverage and other direct anti Israel comments.

The fact that this happened is the responsibility of the Glastonbury organisers who were very apparent in refusing to tone down in any way the political nature of the festive even though it was receiving wide public broadcast.

This being the case I agree fully with Lowe in his letter to the BBC that Glastonbury's attitude means that they do not deserve extensive future live coverage......To paraphrase the Glastonbury top chap, 'if you don't like it go elsewhere'.

The BBC should take heed if it takes its remit seriously.

This does not stop Glastonbury putting on whatever type of music festival they decide on, hence isn't an abuse of their free speech, which you mistaken stated. No one is arrested or fired, unlike what has happened to those on the right who have exercised free speech.....and which you have never defended.

Glastonbury has ALWAYS been political. The BBC have had coverage for nearly as long. This performance went out live - what were the BBC meant to do?

Musical artists using their platform to be controversial and political is nothing new either.

A load of right wing bedwetting yet again. If you lot aren’t whinging about something you feel lost.

What were the BBC meant to do? Not have acts they know behave like this maybe?

What about the reference to Bob Vylan’s boss on work experience for a record label being Jewish and rabble rousing the crowd?

I meant not show them.

The Glastonbury statement is interesting. They don’t want any part in wars, terrorism, violence etc etc etc and hire these morons to perform.

The BBC decided to not show Kneecap. Bob Vylan was on the same stage right before them. He knew that would be seen by many before the BBC censorship.

The rights double standards on free speech when it’s free speech they don’t like is really quite something.

Thing is Dan, you’re likely to get locked up if you say anything in opposition to these muppets. And I do agree with free speech, but this sh1t and these idiots and their nodding sheep in the crowd shouldn’t be broadcasted on any platform the taxpayer pays for when we pay for the bbc or just to watch fecking tv.

Well I think My Vylan will be getting a knock on the door if the pitchfork mob don’t get to him first.

Who or what is Bob Vylan and no, I can’t be arsed to Google it.

This is from Wiki. Sounds like a right good laugh for a night out.

Common ideas found in the lyrics include social and political issues such as racism, police violence, unequal income distribution, access to healthy food, gentrification, mental health, fatherhood, late-stage capitalism, homophobia, toxic masculinity, Britain's political hypocrisy, and the pharmaceutical industry. The theme of the struggles of being a black man in Europe are recurring in every album, and include the mental health struggles of black men, institutional racism that contributes to poverty in black communities, the threat of police, and the struggles of being a black parent in a world that threatens your children.
