• Reversal of "Islamification": Enacting cultural policies that include a complete ban on the burka, public mass prayers, halal and kosher meats, and cousin marriages to preserve Britain as a Christian country. [1]
• Death Penalty Referendum: Holding a national, legally binding referendum on reinstating the death penalty for severe crimes. [1, 2]
• Deep Spending and Welfare Cuts: Imposing aggressive spending cuts and severe welfare reductions to combat inflation and make the UK completely economically self-sufficient. [1]
• Ban on Former Tory Ministers: Barring any individual who previously served as a Conservative government minister from holding a position in a future Reform-Restor

I don't have a problem with any of these.

Lowe is clearly a tough negotiator and he is deluded if he thinks Farage will bow to public demands.

If he is serious, he should get round the table with Reform and discuss a way forward in private.
This just smacks of political grandstanding.

I understand that “Hope not Hate” has conducted one of the biggest surveys of its kind (10,000 respondents) on what British voters really think of the party leaders.

The results will shortly be published but apparently more than 60% of them think Nigel Farage is “sleazy”, whilst only 29% think he isn’t. This is by far the highest % response for this attribute of any party leader.

When that 29% pretty much represents Reforms overall support that 60% think him “sleacy”, with the remaining 11% not having an opinion, is highly significant.

It’s obvious that Reform is much more divisive than the other main parties but who is going to ever contemplate having a PM they think is “sleazy”? This confirms my belief that we are entering a new era of tactical voting in which many people will be voting against something, rather than for something. Anyone but Farage will be the overiding message, even if an unspoken one.

I realise that “Hope not Hate” aren’t well regarded here but for me, and many others, they represent a beacon which shines bright lights onto some of the truly nasty aspects of Reform and populist politics.

It’s a long way to the next GE. The country will still be in a mess when it arrives and would be whoever was steering the ship. The captain and his crew always get the blame, whatever rocks aren’t seen or storms encountered, and others will promise salvation, if only. The next time though the divisiveness and sleazy reputation feels like things are going to be different.

Meanwhile, Rupert Lowe is now holding out an olive branch to Farage. Hmmm.

Well, it has to happen sooner or later. The ultimate aim is to defeat Labour. All other issues among the Right have to be put aside. I'm still not sure how having two genuine right-wing parties helps the cause.

Lowe needs to dissolve Restore and Farage needs to let Lowe back into the family. That would be a clear message of intent.

He's put Farage on the spot, there is no way Farage will agree with Lowe so it's directing the vote splitting nonsense onto Farage.

I find this all so tiring, Farage mincing about with needless by-elections & Lowe setting himself up to snipe at Farage for another year.
Lowe seems to have struck a chord with Reform voters online who are urging Farage to work together so it seems to have worked to a point.

Restore have just pulled nearly 50,000 votes from lefty Manchester, were doing just fine for a 6 month old party so these stunts for me are annoying.

I'm at the point where we need to skip politicians & go straight to the civil war part.

There is no doubt that a compromise must happen for all our sakes. All the bad blood must be consigned to history.

We are projected to be a minority in our own country by around 2060....yeah we will probably all be dead but our children will experience the whip hand as some in pockets do today.

The next census in 2031 will likely show us at the mid to low 70s.

It shows just how important it is to change the demographic picture that has been decided for us.

If that fails, I do see conflict, but I would much rather it could be avoided......but there are a lot of young white males being given a sh1t deal in their own country by middle class traitors.

Instead of talking sensibly to people with opinions different from our own we reside in groups of people with similar opinions, which ultimately encourages us to despise those with a different opinion. We need sensibly discourse about the issues, and a willingness at least to listen, and potentially be influenced by sensible arguments. Disagreement is not trolling.

It's not just that Hope Not Hate are not well-regarded. They are quite simply hypocrites who peddle divisiveness, and whose aim is to generate hatred against those who don't share their world view. Their name is the one of the most spectacular examples of hypocrisy I can think of in today's political environment.

Of course they have an agenda, but not against the right! Their agenda is against the far right. However they decide to identify, or try to camouflage, themselves!

As to the quality of the survey I will wait until I see it to judge. I anticipate it was commissioned by them but conducted by one of the reputable polling companies. However, they go out of their way to ensure what they do themselves is scrupulously fair. The last thing they want is for that they see in others to be found in themselves.
