Reform

Apparently anti-facism demo in Epping on Sunday. 2 points of interest
1) how it will be policed
2) Thise taking part , on the whole, will not be from Epping. I wonder if there will be any criticism from certain quarters that the demonstrators have come from other areas ( like the criticism in Southport)
🤔

Kent County Council leader Linden Kemkaran (reform) said police forces should have “the proper backing” to shoot those who pose a risk to officers or members of the public.

“We must give our police force the proper backing to be able to do their job, to catch the criminals, to shoot people if necessary, if they feel that that person is going to present a real and present danger to either themselves and the police or to members of the public'.

Metropolitan police chief rabbi Mark Rowley has not commented as yet.

😎
Totally uncalled for last sentence but not unexpected from the resident anti-Semite.

Another point of interest will be how the people of Epping feel about their town being the centre of protests by people outside their own area.

The government could do all manner of stupid and irresponsible things.

Whether voters would approve of their health sevice being so short of staff it collapses I doubt.

More likely they will do something you will definitely not like! Raise taxes!
Perhaps doctors going on strike again doesn’t help? As predicted last year, pander to their whim and they will come back for more. Watch the train drivers strike again in the Autumn. Welcome to the wonderful world of Labour, back to the 70s in a blink of an eye

I suspect they won’t have a say in it. My son’s girlfriend has family in that area, they have not been consulted. Do you believe people from outside should go there to protest? I believe you may have been critical of similar last summer

The junior doctors strike is extremely irresponsible. However, I hear strong rumours it won’t be well supported as many don’t agree with the stance of the current leadership. An analysis of their arguments shows that the mathematics of the claim is totally incorrect.

So I suspect this action will prove short lived and result in a change of leadership in the Union rather than cause long term disruption. I don’t think the doctors have a case and I think many agree and don’t have the stomach for a protracted fight.

I hope I am right. The train drivers are a different case. They keep pushing so must keep being resisted. Ultimately replacing them with technology is the only answer if they continue in this way.

Maybe Farage needs to speak to the Police Commander who was responsible on the day for maintaining the peace. Which is the primary duty of the police force.

Maybe they knew that if they allowed the protesters to proceed on foot they would be intercepted on the way and disturbance could result.

Maybe the Police resources were concentrated at the Hotel.

No one was behaving badly at the time and peaceful protest is legal.

Don’t let that though stop Farage being able to wind up the converted.
Stop making excuses for them, We all know the score.

The left are totally brainwashed

For sure they haven’t been consulted.

Do I believe people shouldn’t go there to protest? I certainly objected to what happened in Southport and still do. Any town trying to cope with such a major tragedy shouldn’t be deluged with activists trying to make political points.

This situation is somewhat different but nonetheless I would still hope that common sense and decency meant that the feelings of the local people were considered by anyone thinking of going there. Protests are a right, but others have rights too. Rights to be able to live quietly and grieve if they need to.

How the police balance those competing rights is a challenge for them and their actions will never suit everyone.

Has someone highjacked Wisbech's account?!

I was listening to the radio about this and apparently the turnout was 55% (I think) but what was also mentioned was that the number of medical degrees is restricted with the result that those with a degree face less competition hence they have the power to demand more.

I see ‘playing the man and not the ball’ seems to be perfectly acceptable when it comes to Wisbech.

His defence of the response to the Grooming gangs.

Yet you defend him....which apparently you think is acceptable.

Also, as you have spent rather a lot of time 'playing the man' and have never apologised for it....
