You know I'll just make this value free observation.

I think Steely gets perhaps a little more stick than he deserves.

I say that as someone who probably disagrees with him on 9 out of 10 topics. We'll never agree on much but that's alright in what should be a free country.

What can be said for him is that he gets attacked a lot but rarely responds in kind.
He gives his opinion direct and to the point, no waffling or compromises - the honesty of those types is always better than the slimey disingenuous types.

I say this as someone who once received a pretty nasty DM from him before he went off to the bbs, but since he came back he's never been personal at posters, just gives his opinion. I think there's something in that for everyone.

There's a lot in that.

The leaders of the country since about that time have presided over an environment that's made it harder and harder for younger people to gain a start. The wealth transfers, particularly in regards to property has been directly against the interests of the working class.....They talk about aspiration while making social mobility harder instead of easier.

Well according to others I'm apparently team Russia so I'm probably more likely to be in a cell in Blighty.....because having an opinion against their 'liberal' policies is something they want to narrow and then probably shut down.
