I know these youtube clips can be flattering but his skill looks on the Zidane level, like he's wearing ice skates, there is NO chance of him coming here, even with our new stand getting the green light🤣, we might as well bid £15mil for Vinicius Junior, clips can flatter but the evidence of his quality is undeniable, very, very few players can pull off those tricks and have such sublime touch and ball retention. Even with the Textor link no chance, even to say he was Champions League Level would underplay his ability. And as someone has already pointed out, we've got Schlupp.

He looks a fantastic talent so it begs the question, why have no big clubs made a serious move for him? There are rumours of him being a disruptive influence which if they are true I would say should instantly end any interest in him. Of course, if they are just rumours maybe it leaves the door ajar for us to sneak in and lure him away to the Palace. I really can't see this happening though.

Schlupp has been the 'Lightning Rod' for negatives.Whilst he is in the twilight of his career he is an experienced player with nearly 280 PL games to his name, around 220 of them for our beloved club over 9 seasons.He has served us well.

I think lots of the comments about Schlupp are actually from people who are quite fond of him and the job he’s done. Certainly none of the out and out negativity Kamada gets. More poking fun at his physical shape. As you say he’s been a good servant for the club in the Ayew or Ward mould

True. And he should be remembered for hitting a sublime goal against Man City that could have been contender for GotM... if it were not for the fact that Townsend hit the GotS in the same game.

well said, I was just joining in with the humour - I'm not a Schlupp knocker, if you'll pardon the expression, my oft repeated opinion is that he is world football's last remaining inside left, and if he's played anywhere else then the knockers come out, if you'll pardon this expression as well. I was abusing his good name merely to illustrate the futility of contemplating our acquisition of the subject of the thread to which we both are contributors. Sincerest felicitations stout yeoman. 😕

Agreed we should all appreciate what Schluppy has done for the club. I’m certainly not going to add to his knockers…. even though he does appear to have developed a fine pair over the summer. 😉
