He was at the training ground a week or so ago, apparently agreed terms and was pictured in a Palace shirt ( possibly AI generated).
If he's joining ,surely it would be better to get him involved asap with pre season training and getting to know his teammates.
Perhaps we're not pursuing it after all.

My guess is this and it's only a guess:

Our prime need at present is for an experienced central defender and until we know just how much that's going to cost, we're reluctant to put in a bid for this lad. Once we get the prime need sorted, I think we'll see movement on Le Guen if there's enough money left in the kitty. I know we all feel there are other positions to fill but I doubt anything will happen on those fronts unless we make another sale.

But then again, I am Doombear.
