This 3p more than doubles the fuel costs for an electric car. I forked out for an electric car because I care about the environment and am proud to drive a vehicle with zero nasty emiissions to polute the air I currently pay less than 2p per mile for electricity for my car. This new tax is more than the cost of what is being taxed i.e car electricity! It raises it to 5p a mile . Doubling the price of electic fuel prices shows this government has totally abandonned any green pretences.
