If the BBC are now asking questions, then it would appear the Two Tier wants her gone.
The BBC have amazed me by doing this by the way but happy days!

She is definitely back in the frame. As always, timing.

Perhaps getting her ready to be sacrificed when the war stops in Ukraine? By way of diverting UK media interest?

Let's see.

the lack of experience , and integrity, on her CV, would suggest she is not a good fit for the job. And her performance is absolutely dire. She is clearly out of her depth.

In the next re-shuffle she should find herself doing some filing or clerical work in the basement.

Dosent sound like its something that's going to fade away, if anything its gathering steam & I don't see the media letting it drop until she quits or gets fired.

As above, timing will be the key.

I'm no fan of Rachel Reeves or her boss, but gilding the lily on your LinkedIn profile is standard practice I suspect. In itself a bit of a non story. I expect half the journo's have done the same.
But why when she became Chancellor did she not pull her profile and maybe close down accounts on other sites. Naive in my view - not a trait for a top Minister.

The fact the the BBC have got involved is the flag here.
They tend to leave Labour bad news alone but to have two full articles on her, would lead me to believe that someone high up in Labour has said that it is time for her to go.
I do hope so.

Typical of the trivia that passes for news on the BBC.

I took a break from them, it's not necessary for my day that I know if a politician has not paid tax on a council house.

Returning it is so noticeable how americanised it all is, I don't know why they just don't move there permanently, and that means it comes with Trump all day and the zionist bias endemic in that unloveable country.

95% of the world votes against the USA in the UN, it only maintains it's position by military and economic force.

Apaet from Chris Richards and our goalie, of course.....

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I understand that it is a bit more than just lying on her LinkedIn profile - it is reported that RR has been claiming in a number of speeches and presentations to the City (and the like) that she has spent “a decade at the BoE” implying that she has significantly more experience than she actually has.

Also heard that HBOS wanted rid of because she was spending to much time doing Labour Party stuff and not enough doing her job.

i think she was very naive to exaggerate her CV as this was always going to come back and bite her - and it has. I think the decade is combining the BoE and Lloyds, but even then it is less than 9 years in total. As for a lack of experience i remember John Major doing this job without any A levels so let's keep things realistic.

As for the expenses 'scandal' it seems someone is just trying to have a pop. Firstly it was over a decade ago and it seems all payments were approved by her then boss.
I have worked for both Lloyds and Coop Bank and we had similar payment schemes, usually £25 or £50 shopping vouchers to reward good performance and to keep up morale etc. Companies would encourage you to buy stuff rather than just give out vouchers and often there was a surplus at year end as not enough had been spent/handed out.

It does appear she did take the piss a bit (and her boss) using it for birthday presents etc, however, she was clearly not the only one doing this.

Here's a quick story about these vouchers. My mate who was quite a low grade got overlooked for a promotion, despite being highly rated. He went into his boss and said he needed to leave as he needed more money. The boss said leave it with me. Later they day she discreetly gave him an envelope with £500 of the shopping vouchers as an unofficial thank you/cheer up bonus.

Do they? They have been pretty negative of Starmer from day 1.

The Tories weren't stupid - they put their own man in at the BBC, Robbie Gibb a few years ago. He's as independent as you or i refereeing a Palace game

Sir Robbie Gibb

John major actually listened to his advisors who were experienced, hence why his term was considerably longer than hers will be !

I have a few observations on your initial section of commentary here:

You call her CV exaggeration 'naive' and say that this is because she should have realised it would 'come back to bite her'. I do have somewhat of an issue with this.

No, it isn't 'naive' it's dishonest. The only partial excuse possible is the observation is that her exaggerations speak to something found way too common in modern society....liars on the make doing well out of lying due to a lack of standards in management (because a lot of them did the same).

This is indicative of the fall in standards found right across socially liberal societies, because in practise they abandoned traditional principles while still preaching that behaviour for others. Social liberalism is identified by treating principles as transactional and for show, while privately viewing them as old hat like everything else.

Your observation that John Major (hardly a figure I'm that fond of) had no A levels and thus was no more qualified to be Chancellor than Reeves is almost reasonable but in reality not much. Major worked in banking full time from 65 to 78 (when politics meant he became part time) and was an executive at Standard Bank for the majority of that time. Not only that but you won't find 'exaggerations' on his work record, quite the opposite in fact, as he came from humble beginnings.

She has downright lied in word and speech and is lucky she didn't say it in Parliament - or did she - I don't know?
This week she blamed the written error on her Team but she had spoken it out loud many times before, so she is a liar twice.
They would have slaughtered a Tory to resignation for this and she holds an office of state.
She has to go and soon because everyone who defends her will look more stupid by the day.

The BBC have been very kind to Labour so far and have not even reported some of their shenanigans.
This stuff is just reporting facts on a story of interest to the Electorate.
With the Tories they got very personal.

BBC are reporting that RR “repeatedly claimed to work for the BoE for 10 years” - this was not combining her time at HBOS.

It is on the BBC so must be true.

Like Musk commented on standards in corporate America a while back, she is more interested in 'appearing' to be moral rather than actually being moral.

While people can argue as to someone's politics being moral or not, what pretty much the vast majority of people can agree on is that lying for personal gain isn't moral behaviour.

I suspect your break from the BBC coincided with recognition that Hamas was proscibed in the UK and their softening stance on " anti semitism " or jew hate as it is otherwise known.

Reeves is not an economist, unsuited for the job but 2TK thinks she's wonderful ( as at 18.45pm London time Feb 14th )
