Lineker is being ditched at the end of the season so maybe MOTD will have a reset as they say in politics. I suspect they had Jenas lined up to take over until he blotted his copybook.

The BBC never used to have any qualms about age. Ted Lowe, Peter O'Sullevan, Dan Maskell, Richie Benaud and a few others went on for ever. In Richie's case I wish he was still there.
Maybe not, but he is 82.
The likes of Sky claim to be all about fairness and inclusivity yet they dont seem to practice what they preach when it comes to punditry.
On days when we play the 'bigger' clubs its all about them. Some pundits barely give us a mention. If we lose its about how much better they are than us. If we win its about how they are going through a tough spell and even start looking for excuses for them. Injuries, having to play too many games, individuals off form, etc, etc. It drives me mad. Even when we walloped United last year the entire programme was about United. Unbelievable bias

Brian Moore was the voice of football in my youth, they don’t make ‘em like they used too, I shed a genuine tear when I heard he’d passed away

Couldn't remember when he died so looked him up and it was in 2001!
He went to Cranbrook school in Kent the same as Peter West and Barry Davies - they must've had commentary lessons there.
