Boris Johnson was a master. To clarify this position, I take the stance that lying can also include omission, or non disclosure.
Boris Johnson was a master of the use of language to get a vey flattering or encouraging point across, whilst completely avoiding telling people the actual cost, or that there would be bad repercussions. I cite general topics, such as the use of selective Covid statistics and data, and his wonderful caveat of, "there is no evidence of...." (because they hadn't looked for any evidence) 😀
Wonderful orator, for which I give him due credit. But as a politician, about as low as anyone could get, but he'd charm you to death.
