Playing Glad all over after goal today

Starting to think we need to petition to stop goal music anyway as it’s so cringy, then you take into account that it could be ruled out by VAR and we look even more stupid.

But today took the cake. 3-1 down, we’re all fuming with a combination of Glasner/Parish/Mateta, we get a meaningless goal back and the moron in charge of the sound system plays Glad All Over for about 45 seconds. FFS!

As I've never had the pleasure of visiting Selhurst Park, perhaps I should defer to others. From afar, though, I have no problem with the concept of playing GAO at that point. Even the television folks acknowledged that, if Palace were somehow to score a quick, freak goal at that point, anything could happen. Why deny a player and fans a chance to enjoy a moment, however fleeting?

Definitely a time and a place for it isn't there. At least they didn't play one more time at the end.

i would agree with the OP on the basis of it not really being customary at most other Stadia.
If an Eagle scored to equalize, or to go into the lead.....then maybe. And only after the Goal was confirmed as mustard.

In terms of the bigger picture I remember being asked by a long standing Liverpool supporting friend living in Ireland asking what is what like supporting Palace - he knew me as a Doncasfer fan, but living in South London I encouraged my son to support his local team and first took him in the defend well and give it to Wilf days and I remember saying something like...

... the atmosphere is really good. The thing is there's no point waiting for your team to score first before you wait to get exited and shout and sing... with Palace you just have to get on with it from the start...

That is and will always be my view going to the football. Yes there's lots.going on, more at Palace than I would like. Yes we are relegation form at the.moment. no I dont.think the best decisions have been made recently... but we are only ever one win from turning things around... and we can still have a decent season.
