Paqueta and Trossard

Since the cheapskate half hearted pursuit (via Sun articles and poor quality click bait outlets) of Eze I have opened my eyes to the desperate as well as questionable methods that Arsenal use in a sad attempt to turn players heads. It probably works with lower level clubs that need the money more but Palace are now an established top division team that knows its own value and has 3 billionaires on its board.
Trossard will not be joining Palace any time soon. In fact I'd wager they are stuck with him till his contract runs out. Even on a free transfer there isn't much that interests me.

Rumour has it that Steve Parish now has a plaque on his office wall with the immortal legend "I will not do business with Arsenal" inscribed on it...

Trossard is a decent player and would be a great addition at most clubs in the league, how can people turn their nose up at him when the alternative is an unproven Brazilian kid who's barely played senior football and has been injured for 2 years.

He would be, but aint a chance in hell anyone is paying 17m for him

I don't disagree. I think the issue is the perception through all the click bait stories that Arsenal think they can avoid paying the full release fee for Eze by trying to fob us off with one of their players in part exchange.

It's not just Arsenal, of course. It's all the so-called big six. The click baiters think that teams like Palace should be grateful that one of the big teams is prepared to let them have one of their players.

I don’t understand why they wouldn’t. Think he’s mustard, changes the game every time I see him come on. Still got a few decent years in him.
we paid more than that for an unknown Franca from Brazil, I get that we bought potential,
but Trossard would be ready to go straight away.

You might get 3 years, I suppose. But probably a free after that. So that would be a cost of more than 30 million for what would presumably be a first-off- the-bench guy. It seems a bit rich and he would probably have more fun playing for trophies for a year and then decide where to go when his contract runs out

I agee that ‘it’s fiction’ like the previous poster said.
But if he came to us, with 4 competitions, injuries, suspensions, afcon and loss of form. I think he’d play loads.

Because in 2-3 years Trossard will be worth nothing. Its taken us a long time as a team to move away from signing end of career players, with no sell on value.

Franca still has time
