Finland. The Finnish. One should never underestimate the enemy. Even when you have an insurmountable logistical advantage.

Josef Stalin wanted to do a little dress-rehearsal for WWII against Hitler. So he did a small training exercise. The massive Red Army invaded Finland. And got their ass kicked. Whenever the Soviets were trying to organise a BBQ or use their camping-toilet ....some invisible fecker on ski's would appear from nowhere and petrol bomb them. And he would disappear as quickly. The Reds complaining that the Finns didnt fight fair.

The Finnish have already given us a financial black-eye. In the form of the useless git below.

......beware of the apparent easy game.

the Finnish are a clever bunch.

Rehashing my post from the Leeds thread trying to figure out the B team if Glasner is as good as his word to not start the same player on both Thursday against KuPS and Saturday against Leeds

If the Leeds game is going to be our best line up and Sarr is unavailable due to AFCON then the line up against KuPS could be, assuming Devenny recovers from his knock:

KuPS: Benitez, Devenny, Sosa, Canvot, Lerma, Mofe Jemide, Hughes, Kaden Rodney, Esse, Benji Casey, Uche

Leeds: Henderson, Clyne, Mitchell, Guehi, Lacroix, Richards, Wharton, Kamada, Pino, Nketiah, Mateta

Would be an idea to swap Canvot for a first team CB, maybe Richards, so we have an experienced leader in the back 3 and Canvot could then start against Leeds?

I think you're being a tad harsh on Shefki....he had a cracking goal celebration...luckily for him he didn't need to use it that often!!

That would be a… bold lineup against KuPS. Do we take him literally with that line of the interview? Could it not just be those who are most tired will sit it out?

Mind you he has said he doesn’t mind having to go through the play-off. Avoiding the play-off has got to be a lot better for us surely? An extra two games we don’t need.

Not that I’m really aware of how good KuPS might or might not be. Maybe we can afford to make all those changes. I am attending so I hope we do give our full effort and respect to the fixture!

Sarr will play in at least one game - I don't know about Glasner's quote but no way will there be two different sides, if Lerma plays in defence then we have only two from three in midfield to choose from, and we only have five central defenders if we include Canvot - the wing backs can be different even without Munoz, and the keeper and the strikers, and Esse and Uche can give us more options now - more likely:

Kups: Benitez, Sosa, Devenny, Canvot, Lecroix, Lerma, Wharton, Hughes, Esse, Nketiah, Uche

Leeds: Hendo, Clyne, Mitchell, Richards, Lecroix, Guehi, Wharton, Kamada, Pino, JP, Sarr

with a strong bench for the Kups game, and a late run out for the regular first teamers and early substitutions for those who play both games.

Sarr won't play in either game. The club has to release him by tomorrow(15th), that date was agreed by UEFA & CAF to help out the European leagues.
