Palace Summer 2026 transfers?

It seems we’ve offloaded most of the academy players who might have been knocking on the door. I’m not sure what’s left will be too disappointed as they’re all as close to a seat on the bench as they were.

Why does it matter if they were completed before or after 11pm? Most deals that go to deal sheets are essentially done they are just waiting to finish off the paperwork. We are hardly the only team making signings on deadline day, Brighton made 2, Fulham made at least 3 I believe. Hull made a load of signings yesterday. Sunderland made at least 3 I believe. We made 6 signings before deadline day and 4 on it, with the deal for Honest being essentially done pre-deadline day just taking a while to go through. So really it's 7 deals before deadline day and 3 on it. Hardly the end of the world. It would be silly to waste all your money before deadline day when some deals don't open up until the last minute.
Apparently 35% Premier League deals get done on deadline day. We're pretty much in line with that.

Right I've certainly slagged Hobbs etc off enough for the January transfers... Ones I don't think I'll ever understand.

But I must say overall I'm pretty pleased with what he's managed in this window. We've added depth, youthful potential and a couple of starters which is impressive considering Europa League SCR and a depleted budget (ahem January).

I think the loss of Lacroix will still be felt for a while as the new back line settles and get to know each other but hopefully that'll click and that's where Sage and the coaching team will have to earn their beans!

Late deals are stressful... But it's not like it's only us... Most of the league was up late making deals.

To be hyper critical I'd say we will lack leadership through the spine of the team but hopefully Disasi and Timber will step up there.

The biggest disappointment was out of our control and that was Sarr and Mateta acting like spoilt brats. I think both could well have got moves if they'd done things the right way and informed the club behind closed doors earlier in the window. And I'm sure most fans would have wished them well. Now however we have to navigate another difficult situation between them, the squad and the fans... Maybe Sarr will still move to a country whose transfer window is still open. Very sad how these things play out.

Now we desperately need to get some points in the next two games and then use the long international break to our advantage.

We have now recouped the money spent in January. Just JRS left who is surplus to requirements. Maybe he will head off to Turkey. Personally I would sell Sarr and JPM if possible to avoid disruption to the squad with those two malcontents. Hopefully the Saudis will come in for them. If they stay, stick them on the bench when fit so they can prove themselves. Motivation being that if they rot in the reserves they will not get a big move next year.

I'm sure I read somewhere that we signed a Moroccan teenager defender who had a medical last Saturday and should first be for the U21 squad. €700k or something? Naturally I can'tfind this anymore. Clearly not so important for the first team today but can anybody enlighten me....please.

I read the same but no confirmation.

I think I remember seeing it rumoured but no confirmation. The club would usually confirm anyone added to the u21s. Maybe they still will announce something in due course.

I think its been a good window overall, bigger squad and perhaps SP has kept some powder dry for Jan window if needed.
.
Not sure if Sarr and JP will describe it as a good window though 🤣
JP has been trying to find a premium buyer for so long now...and no takers this window either.

Dunno who leaked the details of the FIFA Tribunal to try and cancel his contract but it certainly hasn't endeared him to prospective employers. Looks like he will be going for free in a few months unless he puts himself in shop window before January.

Being pretty rubbish apart from one spell, permanently injured and always complaining could put teams off. Who can say?

I posted it somewhere. Something like Taha Majni: auto correct does not like him. Here you go:

Thanks. For a moment there I thought i was actually dreaming about CP and was busy booking a doctors appointment

My biggest disappointment is seeing Glasner sniffing around the Palace squad. He's already tarnished his legacy a bit by going almost direct to Forest, and now he's actively trying to weaken the Palace team.

The double over Forest would be nice.

But I don't have any ill feelings towards Glasner myself.

He made things plain that we were a stepping stone when he only signed a two year deal at the start.....which to be fair to him he honoured despite throwing his toys out the pram half-way through the second year.

He had some luck winning those cups but I know he's a very very good manager.
He helped increase the reputation of this club.

I think he thought he was going to a big club and instead ended up moving sideways.

Everyone's moved on and it's Sarr's army now.

We should know the weaknesses of his system though shouldn't we?

I’d say that stepping stone worked out better for us than it did for him. Forest is at best a sideways step onto a very wobbly stone given their chairman’s predilection for falling out with and sacking managers who p*ss him off. Ladbroke have Glasner and Sage joint second favourites for the sack behind Fulham’s Arbeloa.
